Larchmont fun facts!

There were only 3 violent crimes in Larchmont in 2006...... isn't that amazing!

The average SAT score from the Larchmont public highschool in 2006 was 1800.

The average property tax in 2006 was $13,000 - yikes!!

Guess you have to take the bad with the good.
More house pics coming soon.

the kids having fun!

Griffin is a natural soccer player, although his daddy wishes he would do football instead (they actually do have flag football for 5 year olds). Macy LOVES her ballet outfit even more than the class itself. I also included a couple 'back-to-school' & 'chase-the-geese' pics.

Favorite New Discovery

I LOVE ORLA KIELY!
Discovered her wallets about a year ago in a little store in the Village with my friends Kerri & Melissa. Just recently saw some more of her stuff and decided I MUST have one of those funky oilcloth handbags (hope you're listening sweetie - Oct. 2 is right around the corner).
Check out her website. www.orlakiely.com

Tales of the Renovation

So the thought of renovating 'this old house' was a great idea at the time! However - we ran into multiple obsticles along the way (many of which should have been caught by the inspector before we closed - but that would have been way too easy).
In the last few weeks (in addition to lot's and lot's of sawdust) we've encountered a leaky roof, flooding basement, cracking pipe, leaking toilet, oil tank drama (more on this later), boiler chimney collapse & replace, and so much other craziness! Our "great deal" has somehow turned into a money pit.
On the upside... we ADORE our neighborhood and neighbors (almost as much as our Plano neighbors)! All of the kids play in the street together every single day - riding bikes, scooters, playing ball, etc. It really is a cozy little neighborhood with so much character....
The kids both LOVE school... they adapt so easily. Griffin started soccer a couple weeks ago (he plays next to the marina - it's picturesque). Macy's in ballet and of course, is eating it up!
I'm meeting nice people everyday and really starting to settle into this new life. Chris says "We're never moving again"... but who knows. Once we get this house in shape - we'll probably be ready for another challenge!
We're only 20 minutes outside of the City - so there's still lot's of great reasons to come visit us!!
More pics to come....

Lot's to catch up on!

It's been a CRAZY 2 months - but we're finally getting settled into the new place. It seems like an insurmountable task sifting through the Dallas goods as well as our stuff from NYC... but we're slowly digging out from under the mess.

Lot's of pics to post... but we must first see the adorable little miss priss on her 3rd birthday!!! Her favorite things are Hanna Montana, HighSchool Musical 2, and CLOTHES!!!! She's my very girly girl and I love it!!
