The thrill is gone.....kinda

After much consideration - we've decided to head north. Don't get me wrong - we still love the City and all it has to offer, but we're ready for a little more normalcy. We found a great little village in Westchester county about 20 minutes north of the City and fell in love instantly. Actually I fell in love instantly - Chris took a few weeks to warm up to the idea. The town is Larchmont, NY. It's right on the Long Island sound with beautiful old homes, a quaint downtown, train service to Grand Central, a beach, marina and so much more! It's like nothing I've ever seen before (except in the movies). After the idea got into my head - then of course, I could think of nothing else. I got a realtor and we signed a contract on the first house we saw. The real estate is insanely expensive there - possibly even more than NYC (if that's even possible).. but we managed to find a perfect "fixer-upper"! The kids are thrilled to soon have their own bedrooms and especially a back yard. The schools are excellent and Griff is looking forward to starting kindergarten at Mamaroneck Union Free School District (how's that for a name).
We start renovations next month and should be moved in by September 1st. This will be a crazy few months for the Brassell family, but we're anxiously awaiting our new adventure!
I promise to keep you updated!!
